Role Description: Member of Hadoop/BigData Infrastructure team which provides operational support for about 5000+ global storage, compute & distributed systems using a wide variety of DevOps stack Automate deployments & operations. Upgrade Hadoop & other tools as in when needed. Providing operational support for Hadoop clusters across the data centers globally & other BigData tools as Hbase, Scylla, Hive/Hue, Kafka, Storm. Fine tune configurations using management tools as Puppet & InfraDB (In-house Ruby on Rails CM Database), Orchestrating deployments & services using Ansible. Continuous integration to the source code following the change management process using tools as Git, Gerrit Implement monitoring scripts using Python, Bash/Shell & monitor health of the cluster operations with the tools as Nagios, Graphite, Grafana, OpenTSDB, Prometheus . Troubleshoot, optimize systems & service performances. Collaborate with multiple teams viz Data Center Ops, NOC, Network, Database & Engineering. Track & resolve incidents, provide root cause analysis & document runbooks. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
